Quad-Trike Off-road Handcycle Upgrade Project

We need your help urgently !

Our WA Adaptive MTB Adventure Camp on the 28th September is fast approaching and our volunteers are working fast to upgrade a donated road handcycle into an off-road handcycle (for use by people with upper and lower body impairments).

Freedom Ryder from America (donated). Road handcycle soon to be power assisted with electronic gear shifting AND electronic steering!

One of the key components for the upgrade is the wireless electronic shifting. Other than SRAM, there are no tested off-road geared wireless shifters. However, we have discovered an intermittent solution, the D1x from Archer Components.

This will allow us to program the gear shifting with any rear mech and cassette set combo!

The button unit will be re-wired to independent up/down gear shifting buttons for use by elbows. This is a great solution for anyone that doesn't have finger dexterity.

It comes at a price and needs to arrive ASAP. Help us get guys like Matt and his family out in the bush and on the Aussie dirt!
